Santa hooked me up with a job 4 the season.

And this, right here, is my, new portraits. These faces belong to Kristin and Randa. I was asked to do this piece by a girl named Gabriella Silva, who I have unfortunately never met in person. She works at the same company as one of my closest friends. Charcoal on Rives BFK.

This is Randa in her finished state...

Kristin in her finished state...

Just need some finishing touches...

Here is a little process...

So here is the first thing I did out of art school. My buddy Cam Floyd left some nice 7 x 4 foot stretcher bars in the house, so I wrapped some pieces of Rives BFK around em and made this painting. The man and woman are meant to be male and female Flamenco dancers. The Flamenco dance is a style of music and dance associated with Spain although it is actually only native to the Andalusian gitanos (gypsies). But anyway the ladies always wear these big fancy dresses and someone is usually singin real loud and tearin it up on the guitar. All acrylic with charcoal drawing underneath.

This is another portrait I did for close friends of my family. Below is the full painting, and a picture of the woman whose portrait I did.

Senior Thesis

Nicki Minage

Snoop Dogg

Rihanna

Jamie Foxx

Lil Wayne

So this is my full senior thesis, hopefully someone out there likes this stuff. They are in the order that I did them, Kanye first Nicki last. For anyone who doesn't know Nicki Minage she is new and she is hot hot fire. At some point I'm def gunna paint Gucci Mane, and i think i'll paint Drake as well. So college is done, and now it's time to get REAL. Many thanks to everyone that has ever looked at my art.

So here is my snoop piece, second to last in my thesis series, once I'm done with Gucci Mane I'm gunna repost them all as a nice big chunk of hip-hop illustration. School is coming to a close, and I think it is about time. I decided to go with the Chinese dragon imagery mainly because I wanted to combine snoop with some sort of deity, particularly an ancient and mythical deity (and one that breathes smoke). The dogs are Chinese fighting dogs a.k.a Chow Chows and the symbol on snoop's forehead says "dog" in Chinese. Acrylic on paper.

Here's my Lil Wayne. Mabye while he's chillin out in jail he'll have time to see this image. I need to get his mailing address. This was a pretty fun project, I tried to get the tatoos as accurate as possible, and I wrote the lyrics to "A Milli" in mirror lettering on the top and bottom, like the mirror writing on Leonardo Di Vinci's Vitruvian Man. I guess you could call this Vitruvian Wayne. Sumi ink on rives BFK and digital color.

Finished up my first piece for Jose's Fantasy Art class. This is my interpretation of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. The scene specifically is the moment of confrontation between the troll and the last/largest of the three billy goats. The troll threatens each goat and each goat says "don't eat me, chomp my older brother" and then the last goat just destroys the troll. Here's the website I read the story from http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/type0122e.html
I focused on making the last goat as much a monster as possible, while giving the troll some cuteness. I think this is gunna be a fun last semester class.
