 The Cherubim are the keepers of celestial records.  A Cherub is not a Putto.  A putto is a chubby baby angel.  A Cherub is a giant powerful angel, ranking second under the Seraph.

These ornaments are based on Torah finials.  Finials are the fancy things that go on the ends of curtain robs and scrolls.  Some Torah scrolls have huge finials made entirely of silver.

Cherubim_Ophanim

 Traditionally the Cherub has a man, lion, ox, and eagle face.  Mine (left) has three faces, all human. 

The Throne (right) or Ophan is number 3 on the angelic hierarchy.  Ezekiel had visions of giant flying wheels within wheels.  The Ophanim are the rims on God's car.

Next is the Cherub (left) and Throne (right).  There r some heavy symbols in these that I don't fully understand yet.

The Seraph is complete.

time_to_go_scanning

 Now that the Seraph is complete I must quest for a large scanner.  This is an ongoing quest for all artists until you decide to drop some G's on a personal big Epson.

I am putting the angel in a kind of bubble so I'll know where to cut when I get the full scale print.

Esotericism?

The first of the 9_angels_9 is nearly complete.  Soon it will grow 3 times in size.
